Something for everyone! There are plenty of activities on site and nearby to fill your holiday with fun and good memories! Etang Vallier is a true country retreat, 2 km from the center of Brossac Village.

Etang Vallier is a wonderful little lake with excellent water quality covering nearly 4 hectares. Spend your days lounging on the sandy beach, or under the pines nearby the water. Summer events include the annual Sand Castle contest open to all the 13th of July each year followed by a fireworks show over the water. Kayak rentals, and soon to come row boat rentals complement the water-based activities.

The pool is open from mid June to early September (no lifeguard on duty) and is open to all resident of the holiday park. La Clairière will also feature its' own resident only pool (2008).

Moto-quads are available in the area either on a track or for cross country rides during summer and by reservation during the rest of the year. Jet skis are also newly available just 5km away in Saint Vallier.

Poneys are on site 2 to 3 times per week for a short ride and initiation for the youngest members of the family. Go to one of the nearby centres for longer rides, or group rides. For true horse fans, don't miss the Chalais International Horse Jumping competition which takes place each year in August and attracts professional riders from all over the world.

Brossac is a sleepy little village, but most services are available: pharmacy, Spar grocery store, boulangerie, post office, restaurants, bars, tennis club (court rentals), garage, small market with a selection of local products every Saturday mornings.

Country Western Barbecue and Dancing- a favorite of returning guests. Each week is a bar/music theme night. Be sure not to miss it and don't forget to reserve your spot on arrival as they are quite popular.

Local farms and wineries open their doors in the summer to a multitude of visitors. Enjoy small farm visits, mini-train rides through vineyards, and of course wine and pineau tasting in numerous villages. Several local producers come to Etang Vallier during the summer months to show off their produce... offer tastings and a nice sampling of local fare!

Enjoy the French countryside, but don't forget you are just a short drive from the finest of French culture. Angouleme is at 45 minutes, Bordeaux is about 1 hour. The Atlantic beaches are just over an hour and Cognac is only 45 minutes as well. The reception can provide directions and visit information for all of these and much more.

Aubeterre, one of the most beautiful villages in France is just 18km away, with its chateau, Roman church, Monolithic Church, several restaurants, river front, shops and curiosities.

Family Fun: all summer, there are activities planned for the youngsters, as well as activities for the whole family. Ask for the activity schedule when making your reservation. An updated version is provided on arrival so that you know everything you need for a superb holiday.
